Frustrated With MovableType

I’ve been running this blog on MovableType now for over 3 years, but am becoming increasingly frustrated with it. It’s slow, the admin interface breaks (it looks like it’s doing something but then just goes blank, and there’s a 50/50 chance that it hasn’t actually done anything), spam is less of a problem than it was but still takes time to deal with, and if I happen to use trackbacks then it either sends two, or none at all.

Although I’m tempted to make my own system, I think that my energies are probably better directed towards other tasks. I’m entirely open to suggestions as to what software to use, so if anyone has any specific recommendations then feel free to leave a comment.
