No Cars Lithograph

When each of the Pixar movies has been released on video or DVD, the Disney Stores in the UK have given away a commemorative lithograph when you pre-order. I have all of them, and with the imminent release of Cars on DVD, was looking forward to adding to my collection.

Except, I stopped by the Disney Store this morning to discover that there was no such offer in place. What’s up with that? Now that Disney own Pixar they don’t feel the need to continue what had become (to me, at least) a tradition? I know it’s not exactly the end of the world, but I’m a bit annoyed.

Disney Mobile

As has been mentioned across the web this week, Disney are launching a family oriented mobile phone operator. It looks to have some interesting features, including setting spending limits and usage hours.

However, it seems to me like they’re missing a trick by not offering rewards for use in their parks, as they do with their credit card. I realise that they’re including features which limit overall spending, but I think it would be a great extra incentive for families who already visit the parks to switch from their current service provider. Bear in mind that something like 70% of visitors to the parks are repeat visits, so I think this would definitely be an attractor.
